The European superpowers have been asked to fork out the aforementioned figures if they are to land the 22-year-old talented full-back of Ghanaian descent this summer

Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid and English Premier League giants duo, Arsenal and Manchester United are to splash £35m on the head of Ghanaian right-back Jeremie Agyekum Frimpong to be able to prise him away in this ongoing transfer window, according to renowned ltalian journalist and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The former Celtic full-back remains the most sought-after defender this summer as he continues to court interest from the European top guns.

Having been linked with the LaLiga outfit and the English Premier League duo, Bayer Leverkusen are now demanding double figures from these suitors as per the ltalian transfer guru.

"He has new agents now, or better to say that his original agents parted with new agents, so this is what was going on. From what I’m hearing, this is an expensive player this summer,'' Fabrizio Romano said of the 22-year-old on YouTube Channel show Born and Red.

He added: "I’m told that Bayer Leverkusen could start negotiations only from £35m. There was a big opportunity in January as they were happy with £20m-£25m, now it’s around £35m, so it’s way more expensive."

"“I think this is difficult but Frimpong is prepared to make his move and the priority of Frimpong is to go to the Premier League. So, let’s see if some clubs will put the money on the table, but at the moment not, but let’s see.”

Frimpong's current deal with Bayer 04 Leverkusen will expire on June 30, 2025 and per his transfermarkt valuation, interested clubs vying for his services are to cough up €40m to secure his signature this summer.

Born and raised to Ghanaian parents, the former Manchester City U23 youth star still remains eligible to represent Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Netherlands U19, U20 & U21 national youth teams.
