Spanish titans Real Madrid remain in the market for a right-sided wing and could move for Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams in January. 

 

Now, despite lack of plethora options, Nico has emerged as one of Los Blancos preferred transfer target and manager - Carlo Ancelotti believes the Spanish-born Ghanaian kid will reward him with a series of impressive displays.

 

According to rife reports in Spain, Bilbao are bent in handing the player a contract renewal but Nico have no intention of renewing his contact which expires in 2024.

 

His superb performance earned him a call-up to the La Roja's [Spanish national team] last season despite his elder brother, Inaki Williams switching nationality to play for Ghana.

 

Nico has appeared in 10 games for Athletic Bilbao and has scored three goals for the Red and Whites this season.

 

He is expected to earn a place in La Roja final squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar next month.
