Ghanaian defender, Fard Ibrahim has revealed some secrets about getting a call-up into the senior national team.
The 22-year-old left-back believes that the selection of players has now been reduced to whom you know to pull the strings for you to get a call-up.
"Of course, there is such a desire. But if I am now offered to play for the national team of Belarus or some other country, I will answer with my consent," he told Betera.
"It is not so easy to get into the national team of Ghana. A lot depends on who you know. Do you understand what I want to say? There are many players who show a high level, but they have no chance to be in the national team. Everything is about connections. This is Ghanaian football," he added.
Ibrahim, a former player of Inter Allies inked a three-year contract with Belarusian Premier League side - Isloch Minsk Raion in March this year and has featured in 12 games across all competitions.
In January 2019, he joined the Black Satellites (Ghana U20) for the 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Niger.
