French-born Ghanaian defender, Alexander Djiku has popped up on the radar of another Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille who are willing to lure his service in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The stalwart defender is on the market again after recording another impressive season, having missed out on a move to Sevilla and TSG Hoffenheim in both the last summer and winter transfers.
The 28 year old once again this season, had a stellar campaign as the captain of Strasbourg. He made 31 appearances with a goal and two assists to his belt.
His outstanding performance contributed immensely to the Blue-Whites stay in the topflight, having finished 15th on the log with 40 points.
Reports coming in from France this morning is that, Lille have opened negotiations with Djiku's camp and are very desperate to get him on board as they look to build a formidable side for next season.
