English champions Manchester City have targeted Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu as replacement for Nathan Ake who is most likely to leave in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Dutch versatile defender is currently a two time leave winner with the Sky Blues but is currently hoping for a return to Chelsea, where he started from.
With Ake nearing a return to the Stamford Bridge, the exclusive report reaching Kickgh.com is that, the Cityzens have set sights on the Ghanaian center-back and ready to activate his buyout to fill in the gap at their backline.
The 26 year old made massive 36 appearances in all competitions, 34 in the Premier League and 2 in the EFL Cup with a goal to his belt.
The former Real Valladolid defender has finally agreed to play for the senior national team after series of attempts to lure his service.
His presence will really boost the strength of the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 World Cup which will be held in Qatar later this year.
