The Danish side knocked back the offers of the Spanish and the Dutch elite clubs over the services of the potential Black Stars stopper during the just-concluded winter transfer window
Danish Superliga outfit Aarhus GF rejected the bids of Spanish La Liga side Leganes and Dutch Eredivisie campaigners Go Ahead Eagles for Danish-born Ghanaian centre-back Jonas Jensen-Abbew in this January transfer window.
The promising defender, who joined AGF from fellow top division rivals FC Nordsjaelland on a five-year deal during the summer of 2024, has already hit the ground running at the Ceres Park in this ongoing campaign.
Given his remarkable debut season with the Aarhus-based club so far this term, the 22-year-old is now a target for the above-mentioned suitors as they tried to lure him this winter.
According to Danish outlet Tipsbladet, the employers of the Ghana-prospect turned down the bids of the duo as they were far below their valuation for their prized asset.
Jensen-Abbew, who is set to spent the rest of the season in the Danish top-flight, has so far played in 10 league games for AGF this term.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, the young central defender still remains eligible to represent Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Danish U21 national youth team.
