Arsenal have opened talks with Ghanaian international Thomas Teye Partey over possible extension with his contract set to expire at the end of the ongoing season.
The 31-year-old has been very outstanding in the ongoing campaign having stayed fully fit and has over 30 appearances this season in all competitions.
Partey recently starred very well and netted the second goal to propel the Gunners to an emphatic 5-1 win over Manchester City and subsequently made WhoScored.com's team of the week.
According to reports, Thomas Partey whose contract will end in the summer, is currently in advanced negotiations with the club and both parties are expected to reach a positive conclusion very soon, per exclusive reports.
Thomas Partey has currently tallied three goals and three assists in 35 matches and will hope for more heading into their subsequent games.
He will look forward to another starting berth when they face Newcastle United at the St James' Park in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi final tonight.
