The 28-year-old forward was billed to link up with the Israeli top division campaigners this summer, but the move didn't materialise due to the transfer fee involved

Swedish Allsvenskan side Halmstads BK have confirmed that the transfer deal with Israeli Premier League outfit Maccabi Netanya over Ghanaian striker Naeem Mohammed has collapsed.

The former Sandvikens IF attacker came close to sealing a three-year contract with the Netanya-based club in a deal believed to be around 190,000 euros. However, with the transfer fee falling below his employers valuation, the deal has now been called off as confirmed by the HBK.

Club's chief Jesper Westerberg revealed to Newspaper Hallandsposten:  ''They didn't achieve any success there so that door is closed right now. An offer will come in that suits us and that suits him and a club that suits. So far, it hasn't really suited either of us.''

Naeem has so far figured in 16 games by netting 3 times and assisting 2 for HBK in this ongoing Allsvenskan 2025 football season.

He is yet to earn his international cap with the Ghana Senior Men's National Team, the Black Stars.
