Ross County manager Jim Mcintyre has refused to give up on signing Heart of Midlothian midfielder Prince Buaben.
The out-of-favour Ghana international was unable to agree personal terms with the Highland club after the Scottish top-flight side gave him permission to speak to them.
But the Staggies boss insists the deal for the 28-year-old could be finalize before the transfer window closes.
He said: “We had a discussion with Prince and his agent but we couldn’t agree terms.
“There was no transfer fee, we wouldn’t be looking to pay anything at all, so it was a case of not agreeing personal terms"
“You never know in football, we’ll not say it’s dead because anything can happen".
“There are 48 hours left so we will see what happens.”
