The 29-year-old forward of Ghanaian descent is returning to his parent club after spending the second stanza of the just ended campaign on loan at the Charleroi-based club

Belgian Pro League side Royal Charleroi have shown Ghanaian striker Grejohn Kyei the exit door following the expiration of his loan deal at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

The former Stade Reims frontman will now be teaming up with his mother club Standard Liège ahead of the start of the new football season.

Those in charge of the Stade du Pays de Charleroi took to their X account to announce the release of the Ghanaian striker Kyei and his team-mate Alexis Flips to their parent clubs after refusing to make his loan deal permanent upon its expiration this term.

He featured in 20 games for The Zebras across all competitions during his loan spell at the end of the just ended season.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, he remains qualified to play for Ghana at the international level despite playing for the French U21 national youth team.
