Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu opened his season's goal-scoring account to hand AS Monaco a narrow win over Toulouse in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday evening.

AS Monaco secured their fifth win of the 2025-26 season to maintain their place in the top four following a 1-0 victory against Toulouse at the Stade Louis II.

Salisu snatched all the three maximum points for the Red and White lads when he brilliantly headed home a cross delivered by Kassoum Ouattara in the 3rd minute of the game.

The game was intense for the two teams but no additional goal was produced as it ended in a 1-0 win for Monaco at home.

The Black Stars defender enjoyed the full duration of the game while his compatriot Francis Abu lasted for 66 minutes.

Salisu has scored one goal in his four league appearances for AS Monaco in the ongoing season's campaign.
