According to reports in the local media, an undisclosed club from the Saudi Pro League has made a substantial offer of $175,000 per week to Crystal Palace and Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew.

Since his transfer from Swansea City in 2018, the 31-year-old forward has been an influential figure for the Eagles. He currently holds the record as Ghana's highest scorer in the Premier League, surpassing the legendary Tony Yeboah.

If the proposed move goes through, Jordan Ayew will join the ranks of high-profile African players who have opted to swap England for the oil-rich nation of Saudi Arabia.

Despite not being prolific in front of goal, Ayew earned the trust of both Roy Hodgson and Patrick Vieira during the previous season. While Vieira occasionally utilized him in a central midfield position, Ayew predominantly featured as a striker or on the right wing.

Since his arrival, Ayew has scored a total of 16 goals in 164 appearances across all competitions for Crystal Palace.

In recent months, the Saudi Professional League has attracted several notable names. Karim Benzema left Real Madrid after 14 seasons to join Al-Ittihad, while Cristiano Ronaldo made the move from Manchester United to Al Nassr in December.

Additionally, Wolverhampton Wanderers' captain Ruben Neves joined AL-Hilal for a record fee of approximately $60 million. Jordan Ayew is expected to be the next high-profile star to join the Gulf State.
