The talented midfielder, who just returned from a long-time injury layoff, is set to be handed fresh terms by the German top-flight campaigners as his current running deal is set to expire on June 30, 2026
Bundesliga club SC Freiburg are set to secure the future of Ghanaian international Daniel-Kofi Kyereh on a contract extension, an emerging report from the German media has indicated.

The 30-year-old established himself as a central figure at the Europa-Park Stadion after joining up with the Brazilians from FC St. Pauli during the summer of 2022. However, an unfortunate recurring anterior cruciate ligament injury scuppered his high-flying start to life in his maiden Bundesliga season with SC Freiburg - a situation that kept him on the sidelines for over three years.

According to KICKER, both parties are still into negotiations regarding the contract extension, but a deal remains possible as his current existing contract is set to come to a close in this upcoming summer.
Kyereh returned to the pitch in grand fashion as he featured in the reserve team 4-1 drubbing of Eintracht Trier in the Regionalliga Südwest contest over the weekend.

He is currently boasting of 18 caps with the Ghana national football team, the Black Stars and could be in contention for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be staged in the USA, Canada and Mexico in June this year.
