Accra Lions midfielder, Shawkan Mohammed has touched down in Tunisia to sign for topflight side Club Africain despite being strongly linked with a move to heavyweights Asante Kotoko.

The 21-year-old joined the Blue-Blacks in 2021 and gradually acclimatized and settled very well and subsequently established himself as a mainstay and an undisputed starter in the team.

The mercurial middleman made it even better last season having had a stellar campaign and made 31 appearances in the Ghana Premier League.

His outstanding performance caught the good eyes of the two Ghanaian giants but was inches closer to joining Asante Kotoko instead after series of links since the opening of the ongoing transfer window.

However, the latest development is that, Shawkan Mohammed after given the liberty to join his preferred club, has currently arrived in North Africa to sign for Tunisian side Club Africain.

Having agreed personal terms already, the youngster is expected to complete all mandatory medicals first and will be announced in the next few days.
