A freelance journalist in London, Chris Wheatley has disclosed that, many an Arsenal faithful have started calling for the exit of Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Partey from the club and will be very pleased to see him move away in the summer.
The Gunners have been on top of the Premier League table for lots of weeks but are sadly on the verge of losing the title to holders Manchester City- who got the better of them this season and are just a win away from winning for the third consecutive year.
The 29 year old has always been the first choice at the Emirates until the arrival of Jorginho from Chelsea in the last winter transfer window.
The Black Stars deputy captain has now been relegated to the bench, having missed their last three matches against Chelsea, Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion just recently.
Previously, there has been couple of speculations in the local media linking Partey with a move away from London so as his partner in midfield Granit Xhaka.
Now on this said issue, London-based Journalist Chris Wheatley has also said something similar that, lots of Arsenal supporters will like to see the ex- Athletico Madrid midfielder leave and are much worried and concerned about his age as he nears into his 30s. He said on National World channel on YouTube;
"Well, we’ve spoken a lot about the midfield area, that is certainly an area Arsenal will want to strengthen. The futures of Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka are a little bit uncertain. Xhaka has been linked back to Germany. Partey, his form has been under pressure in the past few weeks, that’s why Jorginho has come in."
"A few Arsenal fans have suggested Partey could be on his way out. I’ve not heard that line yet, but he is in his late 20s."
Thomas Partey could return into the Arsenal line up this weekend when they face Nottingham Forest in match-week 37 of the Premier League.
