Southampton head coach, Ralph Hasenhuttl says it's special to play for your country as he insists that Mohammed Salisu is ready to play for Ghana.
Mohammed Salisu rejected Ghana's Invitations on numerous occasions.
The 22-year-old finally accepted to play for the Black Stars in July.
He made his Black Stars debut in 3:0 lost to Brazil before featuring in Ghana's 1:0 victory over Nicaragua in an international last month.
Ghana will face Switzerland in Dubai before jetting off to Qatar for the World Cup.
Salisu's club manager, Ralph Hasenhuttl says he's ready to play for Ghana.
"He was not keen to play there for a long time but now he wants to play there and I think it is always something special to play for your country,” he said.
“And this is what should normally lift your self-confidence absolutely. I've seen it very often in players that are going to the internationals and coming back like they've grown with confidence and this is normally always a positive thing,” he added.
Ghana will face Uruguay, South Korea and Portugal in the group stages of the mundial.
