The English top-flight returnees have set sights on the Ghanaian youngster in an effort to secure his services this summer

English Premier League side Southampton FC are interested in signing Ghana-prospect Jesurun Rak-Sakyi from Crystal Palace.

The 21-year-old winger is said to be keen on the move as he search for first game opportunities elsewhere for the new football season.

According to Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas, the St. Mary's Stadium outfit have opened talks of negotiations with Crystal Palace over the loan signing of the former Charlton Athletic loanee man in this ongoing summer transfer window.

It's believed that Leeds United are also in the running for the services of the 21-year-old winger.

English tabloid Daily Mail has reported that the current employers of Sakyi has rejected an initial bid which is believed to be around £7m from The Saints as they made an attempt to snatch him on a permanent basis this summer.

Again, journalist Alan Nixon has claimed that the Premier League returnees are ready to offer £12m for their transfer target man, but a permanent sale is not a priority for his side as they want him to proceed on loan in order to continue with his development.

Sakyi is contracted to Crystal Palace until June 2027 and should admirers insist on permanent sale then they would need to dig deep into their coffers before they can prise him away in this current window.

Born and raised in London to Ghanaian parents, Sakyi remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
