The current Swedish top-flight table toppers Mjällby AIF are targeting young Ghanaian winger Frank Junior Adjei as part of their summer transfer plans, according to reports.



Adjei, 21, has impressed with his pace and technical ability at fellow Swedish outfit IFK Varnamo, attracting interest from multiple European clubs. Mjällby are reportedly leading the chase, with talks set to start.



Club officials from MAIF are said to have monitored Adjei for several months and view him as a long-term prospect with potential resale value.



If completed, the move would represent a significant step for Adjei, a former player of Bibiani GoldStars, as he has so far played 14 league matches this season, netting two goals and managing one assist.



Mjällby currently sit top of the table in the Swedish league and are seeking to bolster their squad ahead of the second half of the season.



The Swedish transfer window remains open until August 11.
