The sensation starlet of Ghanaian descent was on target for The Violets as they shared the spoils with The Red and Whites in their away fixture of the French top-flight over the weekend

Swedish-born Ghanaian starlet Sion Oppong netted his first goal of the season in Toulouse 2-2 away draw game against Monaco in the Ligue 1 on Saturday.

The 21-year-old enterprising winger, who witnessed 45 minutes of playing time during the encounter, scored on the 59th-minute to rescue a point for his visiting side at the end of the clash.

The Ghana-prospect prodigy, who recently revealed summer interest from Premier League outfit Bournemouth and Bundesliga titan Bayer Leverkusen prior to his transfer move to the Stadium de Toulouse from Swedish Allsvenskan side IF Brommapojkarna, has now opened his goalscoring account in his debut season in the French top-flight.

Oppong, who joined Toulouse on a five-year contract in a deal worth €3.5m during the summer window of 2026, has so far figured in 5 games for TFC in this current 2026/27 Ligue 1 campaign.

Despite representing the Sweden U18, U19 & U21 national youth teams, the 19-year-old evergreen whiz kid could still switch international allegiances to play for Ghana at the senior level on the international stage given his Ghanaian lineage.
