Ghana international Thomas Partey is reportedly considering a summer departure from Arsenal following the recent happenings at the club.
Partey has been struggling for a place in the first-team of Mikel Arteta in their last games and has subsequently lost his spot to Italian midfielder Jorginho, who joined the Gunners in January.
The Black Stars midfielder, who turns 30 next month, was a key figure in Arsenal ’s title challenge this season but his drop in form during the run-in has only underlined the need for major squad reinforcements.
According to English tabloid The Mirror, Arsenal have made Declan Rice their No1 transfer target this summer with West Ham willing to sell their England midfielder to a Champions League club if they get bids in excess of £100m. They remain keen on Brighton ’s Moises Caicedo.
It appears that two Italian Serie A outfits are weighing up options to secure the signature of Thomas Partey in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Partey, who joined the London club in 2020 from Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid for €50 million, contract with Arsenal will expire in the summer in June 2025.
He has scored three goals in 38 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions this season so far.
