Darmstadt 98 head coach Torsten Lieberknecht has confirmed that Braydon Manu will be out for "two weeks" after suffering an ankle injury.

The 26-year-old forward who has mostly been used as an attacking midfielder this season by Lieberknecht - now looks set for a spell on the sidelines in the next 14 days missed their Bundesliga round 9 game against Bayern Munich last weekend.

When asked about Manu's absence ahead of their Friday home match against Bochum, Lieberknecht said: “Manu will be out with ankle pain. It's a shame that he's not really getting into the season due to injury.

Lieberknecht have five fixtures in the next two weeks, as they will take on Mainz, Freiburg, FC Koln, Heidenheim and Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga, before wrapping up the first round with a trip to Hoffenheim on December 19, 2023.
