Trabzonspor leading race for Ghana star Alexander Djiku

Trabzonspor are currently leading the race to sign Ghanaian international Alexander Djiku, Kickgh.com sources confirm.

The RC Strasbourg megastar enjoyed a breakout campaign in the 2021-22 season, making 33 appearances for the Blue-and-Whites across all competitions last season in Ligue 1, scoring ones and playing a total of 2696 minutes.

Kickgh.com understands that the Turkish champions - Trabzonspor are keen to build on their busy summer of transfer activity with a move for the 27-year-old.

Djiku's form last season for the Blue-and-Whites in the Ligue 1 earned him the Ghanaian Footballer of the year at the recently held Ghana Football Awards.

He is currently on pre-season with Strasbourg after his reported move to German club Hoffeinhem fell through, although was set to ink a four-year contract with the club.

Djiku's contract with Strasbourg is due to expire in the summer of next year as he has just a year left and has made his intention of not extending his contract.
