Vitoria Guimaraes reject Rayo bid for Mumin

The Spanish top-flight campaigners have had their bid over the services of the lanky stopper rejected by his current employers in the ongoing summer transfer window 

Portuguese Primeira Liga side Vitoria Guimaraes have turned down a bid from Spanish La Liga side Rayo Vallecano for Ghana international defender Abdul Mumin.

Having joined the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques outfit in 2020, the former FC Nordsjaelland guardsman is currently attracting interest from a host of suitors across Europe - with Valencia, Newcastle, Lille As Monaco and Lyon - all being linked with his services in this summer window.

According to a report filed by Portuguese Newspaper O jogo, Vitoria Guimaraes have knocked back a bid believed to be less than €5m as from Rayo as it falls below their valuation on their prized asset.

Mumin will have his running contract with the Conquerors expired in June 2024  and admirers must table an enticing fee to be able to prise him away this summer.

The Right to Dream academy product is expected to be at the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament scheduled to take place later this year.
