United Arab Emirates topflight side Al Bataeh have confirmed the signing of Ghana midfielder Kwame Bonsu on a long-term contract.

The former Asante Kotoko poster boy made the switch to the Sharjah-based club after seeing off his contract with Egyptian club Cleopatra Ceremica.

Bonsu has been unattached since September, 2022, and will now be in contest for a relegation dogfight in the Emirati, with Al Bataeh fifteen points beneath title contenders Shabab Al-Ahli Club.

28-year-old Bonsu, who has one cap for the Black Stars of Ghana will be tasked to change the fortunes of the club as they slink on the 11th spot after 13 rounds of matches this season.
