The Blanquinegros are reportedly eyeing the services of the hard-tackling defender in an effort to bolster their defensive options with his acquisition this January

Spanish La Liga side Valencia have set sights on securing the loan services of Ghana international Joseph Aidoo from elite division rivals Celta Vigo, a report from the Spanish media has indicated.

The ex-KRC Genk centre-back has so far found game time hard to come by at the Balaídos Stadium since returning from a lengthy injury layoff this season and a loan move to interested suitors is highly on the cards in this ongoing winter window.

Per Spanish outlet DEPORTES COPE, the man in charge of the dugout at the Mestalla Stadium, Carlos Corberán is keen on landing the 30-year-old tough-tackling defender as he looks forward to reinforcing his defensive department for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign.

Aidoo has been spending time warming the bench with Celta Vigo so far this season and a move elsewhere would be an ideal solution for him in order to save his dwindling fortune after taking in just five appearances across all competitions this term.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup looming, the 17-time capped Ghana international defender will now be eager to link up with his current suitors as he hopes to make it to the global football event in June this year.
