The man on the touchline at the MHPArena has been full of praises for the promising winger over his output in their slim win against the Swiss side in a friendly contest on Monday
VfB Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoeneß has lauded Ghanaian youngster Justin Diehl following his great performances in their 3-2 victory against Swiss Super League side FC Luzern.
The 21-year-old, whose progress with the Die Roten has been plagued by injuries, was superb for his side after registering his name on the scoresheet to help them carry the day over their opponent during that tense friendly encounter.
Given his impressive display, the man in charge of the dugout at the MHPArena believes the former FC Koln prodigy could be an asset for his side if he stays fit in the second half of this campaign, with the Ghana-prospect winger told he possesses the ''weapons'' to be able to compete in the top-flight.
The German gaffer told BILD: ''Now we're keeping our fingers crossed that he ( Justin Diehl) stays healthy. His path to playing time will come through the reserve team. He has the weapons, as he shows time and again. But he has to stay healthy.''
Diehl has so far taken in 6 appearances across all competitions for VfB in this current 2025/26 football campaign.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, he still remains eligible to switch allegiance and play for Ghana at the international level having played for the Germany U16, U18, U19 & U20 national youth teams.
