AS Roma young striker Felix Afena-Gyan made an entry onto the Stadio Olimpico pitch with Shatta Wale's popular song ‘ON GOD’
Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma wrapped up their preseason campaign with a 5-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk and also the official presentation of the squad to the fans, so 65,303 packed into the arena to participate in the event.
Afena-Gyan featured in the game when he was introduced on the 80th minute as replacement for newly-signed Argentine attacker Paulo Dybala.
Before the commencement of the match, AS Roma players were presented to the fans and they were asked to pick a song for their presentations.
Afena-Gyan, who earned promotion to the club's first team last season, opted for a song from Ghanaian dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale for the AS Roma's team presentation.
Afena-Gyan walked onto the field with the sounds and rhythm of Shatta Wale's ‘ON GOD’ blasting at every corner of the Stadio Olimpico.
The ‘ON GOD’ track from Shatta Wale is a song that clearly reflects the life of the dancehall genius, who has come a long way in the music industry to reach the apex despite the struggles.

Afena-Gyan is rated among the best youngsters in European football following his exploits at AS Roma after bagging a debut brace against Genoa in November 2021.
He made 20 appearances for AS Roma in all competitions last season with two goals to his credit, since his promotion to the senior team in October 2021.
Afena-Gyan scored his debut goal for the Black Stars of Ghana against Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. He played an instrumental role in Ghana's qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
