Southampton FC boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has lambasted Mohammed Salisu for scoring an own goal in their defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham Hotspur beat Southampton by 4-1 at the St. Mary's stadium.
Unfotunately, Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu cleared the ball into his own net on the 61st minute.
Eric Dier, Ryan Sessegnon and Dejan Kulusevski had the other three goals for spurs with James Ward-Prowse getting the consolation for the Saints.
The 23-year-old has finally accepted to be available for selection for the Black Stars ahead of the world cup in Qatar.
Ralph Hassenhuttl said it's not good enough as he insisted that Mohammed Salisu could have easily cleared the ball with his right foot.
"This is individual quality. Like in the first goal where Kyle (Walker-Peters) is not there to defend a cross and we have situations like this (own goal)," Hasenhuttl said.
"Normally we cannot concede a goal here. It’s easy to clear with the right foot. This is simply not good enough at this level," he insisted.
"Obviously, it is not easy to stop these things, but we’ll work on it. We’ll work on finding solutions for the guys and help them to have clearer decisions," he added.
