Kwesi Appiah, the former Ghanaian striker, showcased his goal-scoring prowess in a pre-season friendly for Boreham Wood FC against Chelsea XI on Tuesday evening.
Just two minutes into the game, Appiah made his mark for his new team, expertly connecting with a cross from Marshy and volleying the ball into the bottom corner from inside the area, putting Boreham Wood ahead 1-0.
The Black and Whites extended their lead seven minutes later when Mo Sagaf found the bottom corner with a well-placed shot from the edge of the goal area.
Chelsea came close to pulling one back, but Hudson-Odoi's brilliant shot from close range was impressively saved by Ashmore. Stutter tried to capitalize on the rebound, but his effort was cleared off the line by Fyfield.
Marshy later added a third goal for Boreham Wood, but Chelsea's Odoi managed to score one before the break. In the second half, Leo Castledine and Tyrique George found the net for Chelsea, resulting in an exciting 3-3 draw between the two teams.
