English League One side Burton Albion have announced the signing of German-born Ghanaian forward Kwadwo Baah on loan for the season from Championship club Watford.

The 20-year-old has been at Vicarage Road for two years after starting his career with Rochdale.

Baah, who has represented England at under-18 level but is a current Germany Under-19 international, remains eligible to play for Ghana.

After joining the Brewers, Baah said: "I'm massively excited to get going. I've played in League One before with Rochdale and I know the ins and outs of the league. I can't wait to get some appearances, minutes and goals under my belt.

"When I first came here and I first saw the lads they made me feel very welcome. Some of them are from the same areas as me which is a bonus."

Kwadwo will wear number 24 for the Brewers.

Born in Germany to Ghanian parents, he was raised in South Norwood and signed for Crystal Palace's academy.

After being released at aged 14, he signed a scholarship with Rochdale in September 2019, scoring three goals at the Crown Oil Arena before signing at Vicarage Road in 2021.

He spent last season on loan with German second-tier side Fortuna Dusseldorf, where he made six appearances from the bench.
