Ghana and Fenerbahçe SK defender, Alexander Djiku, ahead of their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round fixture against Swiss side FC Lugano tonight, has boldly disclosed they are approaching the game with nothing but a winning mindset.

The 29-year-old since joining the Yellow Canaries last summer has had a fantastic campaign having featured in most of their matches in the just-finished season but they narrowly lost the league title to rivals Galatasaray.

The bulky defender has been very impressive so far having scored seven or more ratings according to Sofascore in three out of the four matches played; against Admira Wacker, Hull City and his former club Strasbourg.

These consistent high level performances is definitely a premise to prove why the Black Stars defender will be an integral member of new manager Jose Mourinho's squad for next season.

In a pre-match presser, Djiku admitted Lugano are a good team but added they are well prepared and gelled very well for the game and will go in seeking nothing but a win.

"Lugano is a really good team. If we look at last season, they finished second in the league and they are a team that can score more goals. We are also looking forward to the match we will play tomorrow," he said at the pre-match presser.

"We have played friendly matches so far, we have played a lot of friendly matches and we feel very ready. We want to make a good start with the first official match we will play tomorrow. Whether we play at home or away, our aim is to win all our matches.'' he added.

Fenerbahçe SK will play as guests to FC Lugano at 18:30GMT tonight in the first leg at the Stockhorn Arena.
