German Bundesliga side Werder Bremen has announced the signing of Ghanaian defender Derrick Arthur Kohn on a season-long loan deal.
The talented left-back has joined Green and White lads on loan until the end of the 2024-25 season from Turkish Super Liga giants Galatasaray.
The deal has an option to secure the 25-year-old defender on permanent basis from the Turkish club.
A statement from the club read: “Werder Bremen have brought in a new player on the final day of the summer transfer window, with Derrick Köhn joining the Green-Whites on a season-long loan deal from Turkish Süper Lig side Galatasaray.
“Both clubs have agreed to include an option to buy in the contract following the expiry of the loan.”
Kohn made 13 appearances in the Turkish Super Liga side Galatasaray during the last season's campaign.
He scored one goal and provided two assists since joining in February from Hannover.
Kohn has not yet been capped by Germany and is eligible to play for Ghana at senior level.
