Having reported to have tabled a bid for the 21-year-old forward, the Norwegian top division outfit have now distanced themselves from the said reportage as its lacks substance 

Eliteserien side Molde FK have denied claims that they have tabled an official offer to Allsvanskan side lF Elfsborg for the services of Ghanaian striker Jalal Abdulai.

According to Swedish news outlet Expressen, the Norwegian outfit have made a bid of €3 million for the lnter Allies graduate as they bid to win the race over his chase in the upcoming summer window.

Nonetheless, those at the upper echelon of the Aker Stadion have now addressed the speculation over their latest offer for the 21-year-old wing-forward even though a strong interest in the promising youngster still remains intact ahead of the new football season.

Sporting director Ole Jakob Strandhagen has said of the official bid over the services of the Ghanaian attacking midfielder to Norwegian news outlet Romsdals Budstikke: ''We did not exercise the purchase option that existed until the end of the year. But we had a dialogue with Elfsborg in January and then we submitted a bid. That is the only bid we have submitted.''

He added: ''We have not had contact with Elfsborg for several weeks. We will not do anything more until we receive a clear signal from the club that they may consider selling the player to us. We have been told that Jalal wants to come back to Molde. But we respect the contracts and respect that it is Elfsborg that decides here.''

lt's understood that Jalal is open to linking up with the Norwegian outfit following his successful loan spell at the Aker Stadion last term.

Aside Molde FK, a host of clubs across Europe including Swansea City, Queens Park Rangers, KRC Genk, RSC Anderlecht, FC Midtjylland and FC Copenhagen are all currently in the running for his signature.

Jalal featured in 14 games by netting 4 times and assisting 1 for Molde FK in the 2025-26 Eliteserien season during his loan stint.

He is yet to earn his cap with the Ghana senior national team, the Black Satrs at the international level.
