English League One side Wycombe Wanders FC have signed English-born Ghanaian midfielder Gideon Koduah on a season-long loan deal from West Ham United in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The exciting midfielder, aged 19, spent the second half last season on loan with the Chairboys, playing 10 times after having scored against Wycombe for the Hammers’ under-21 side in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy in January.

He joined West Ham in 2017 and went on to captain their under-18s to FA Youth Cup glory in 2022/23, scoring a stunning goal against Arsenal in the final.

Koduah earned his first professional contract that summer and collected the Dylan Tombides Award for being recognised as the club’s outstanding scholar.

Matt Bloomfield said: “Gids showed lots of promise last season and we’re really excited to see how he kicks on now with that experience under his belt.

“He gives us another option out wide and we know he’s someone who can make things happen and excite the fans. He will learn a lot from working with Garath McCleary, Kieran Sadlier, David Wheeler and the other experienced lads in the squad and we’re confident he’ll make a lot of progress during his year here.”
