Asante Kotoko outcast Yahaya Dawuni has left the shores of Ghana to South Africa this evening to sign for South African side Cape Town Spurs FC, ahead of the upcoming season.

The 20-year-old joined the Reds last summer after an impressive spell with first division side Susubiribi United but had his contract terminated after struggling to command playing time with the heavyweights.

Despite having two years left in his contract and not given the opportunity to showcase what he's got, coach Prosper Narteh Ogum felt Dawuni's service won't be needed in the upcoming season hence called for the abrogation of his remaining contract

However, the enterprising defender has been spotted at the Kotoka International Airport just few hours ago departing to South Africa to sign for Cape Town Spurs FC despite reportedly having offers from Kpando Heart of Lions and Legon Cities FC.

The Urban Warriors have been relegated into the South African second tier and are looking to strengthen themselves for next season as they look to secure promotion back into the topflight as soon as possible.
