The Swedish elite division heavyweights have announced the capturing of the talented defender from his Ghanaian-based Academy outfit
Ghana and Right to Dream Academy product lsrael Anum has joined Swedish Allsvanskan side Malmö FF, the club have confirmed.
The 17-year-old is going to spend time with the U19 youth team for his development as a budding star.
Announcing the deal, those in charge of the Eleda Stadion have said via their club's official website: "17-year-old Israel Anum joins Malmö FF's P19 team. The centre-back is recruited from Right to Dream."
"Israel Anum is a promising centre-back who comes to Malmö FF from the Right to Dream Academy. The 17-year-old was born and raised in Ghana, where he has played for Right to Dream for the past six years."
"Malmö FF has long followed Israel, who also went and trained with the club for two weeks. He will belong to the P19 squad."
The teenage sensation defender shared his happiness over the move as he readies himself to continue his career in Abroad, with Europe now the starting continent: "I am so happy to come to Malmö, it is a big club that is doing very well, that plays in Europe. It's a great feeling to be here and I'm looking forward to getting started."
" As a player, I would describe myself as aggressive, as a leader and I love helping my teammates. Malmö is a fantastic club that I believe will give me great opportunities, being part of this club will help me develop as a player."
Chief scout Jeffrey Aubynn added: "Israel is a player I have been down and watched in Ghana. A modern centre-back in the sense that he may not be the typical big centre-back but he is more athletic, very mobile, fast, quick, incredibly resilient and well trained. He has received a great education in the Right to Dream Academy."
"I have been down and watched him in a tournament in Ghana early in the year. Then he has been up with us for two weeks and trained both with our U19 and A team and also played a match in our U21. So he has been thoroughly scouted and we have had frequent contact with Right to Dream down in Ghana throughout. Delighted that we have managed to sign such a fine young player."
Kickgh.com revealed in February that the Swedish top-flight outfit will be embarking on a scouting mission in Ghana and Japan in order to unearth talented rising stars for their side this year.
