Ghana international Caleb Yirenkyi was adjudged FC Nordsjaelland’s Player of the Match in their 1-0 victory over Randers in the Danish Superliga after delivering another outstanding performance for the club.
The Black Stars midfielder played a key role in a tightly contested encounter as Nordsjaelland remained patient before securing all three points through Runar Robinsonn Norheim’s late winner.
Yirenkyi’s composed display in midfield earned him the club’s Man of the Match award, continuing his fine start to the 2026/27 season.
The 21-year-old has been attracting interest from French Ligue 1 side Strasbourg following an impressive 2025/26 campaign, where he registered two goals and six assists in 30 Danish Superliga appearances.
The Ghanaian also featured in all four of the Black Stars’ matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scoring against Panama during the tournament.
Yirenkyi will now turn his attention to European football as FC Nordsjaelland prepare to face Icelandic side Valur in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League on Thursday, August 6.
