Newly-signed FK Partizan star, Zubairu Ibrahim has expressed a huge excitement after joining the club and added he is looking forward to playing the crazy atmosphere at the stadium and also win trophies with the team.
The Serbian heavyweights officially unveiled Zubairu Ibrahim from newly-promoted side Jedinstvo Ub on a four-year deal for a reported fee of €500,000.
The 20-year-old since moving from the Ghanaian topflight to Jedinstvo Ub, has been very outstanding and unplayable having established himself as one of the fans favourite at the Stadion Dragan Dzajic.
In the just ended season, Zubairu contributed 17 goals; scoring 10 and creating 7 in 28 matches to help the Red and Whites finish second in the Prva Liga Srbije to gain promotion into the Serbian SuperLiga.
Speaking in an interview, the mercurial winger stated how elated he is after joining a big club like FK Partizan and added he is also looking forward to helping the club win the league so he gets to achieve his ultimate dream of playing in the UEFA Champions League.
"It is really a dream come true for me and I don't have enough words to describe it. Partizan is the best club in the country and I am more than delighted to wear the Black and White jersey and play in front of this amazing fans.
"I always work hard as a team player wherever I play. I came to work hard and help the team win trophies. I want my performance on the pitch to speak for me not my words and promises.
"I have been following Partizan since I came to Serbia. I watched their matches and I love the atmosphere at their matches. As it is the dream of every young player, I want to play in the Champions League and you can play in the competition if you win the Championship," he added.
The mercurial winger is expected to join his new club very soon to begin preseason in order to gel himself very well in the team before the main season commences and is most likely he will mark his debut in a friendly against Dynamo Moscow on Wednesday, July 3.
Zubairu Ibrahim was the captain of the Ghana Black Satellites in the 2022 WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship.
