Ghana and FK Partizan Belgrade attacker, Zubairu Ibrahim has given update on his recovery after being sidelined for months and will be returning to action very soon in a post he made on social media
The 20-year-old’s injury occurred during FK Partizan's match-day 30 fixture against Radnicki 1923 in the Serbian Superliga on April 6, in a game he lasted just 35 minutes with his place taken by Korean international Young-jun Goh.
The former Black Satellites captain after the injury had a successful surgery on his knee and was confirmed he will be out for the remainder of the 2024/25 football season
However, Zubairu took part in the Black and Whites official photo shoot for next season and has confirmed in a Facebook post that his return to the pitch is very imminent
“2025/2026 season, the boy is about to start training with the team very soon”, he wrote
The 20-year-old joined Serbian giants FK Partizan Belgrade prior to the commencement of the ongoing season from Jedintsvo Ub on a four-year deal, where he enjoyed a magnificent two-year stay
The mercurial winger in his debut season in the Superliga, notched 11 goals and provided 4 assists for the Steamrollers in 26 league matches.
