The Ghana's home-based national team have touched down safely in the city of Porto Novo ahead of their second leg clash against Benin in the first round of the 2022 CHAN qualifiers.
The team arrived on Friday afternoon with a total of twenty five players comprising of three goalkeepers, nine defenders, ten midfielders and three strikers.
Head coach Annor Walker also made the trip together with his assistants Prosper Narteh Ogum and Bismark Kobby Mensah.
The Black Galaxies outstandingly humbled the Squirrels by 3-0 in the first leg last Sunday at the Cape Coast Stadium to take a giant step towards the next round.
Prolific forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh opened the scoring account from the spot, coupled with two second half goals from Mohammed Alhassan and captain Gladson Awako to seal the victory.
The winner of this tie will face Nigeria in the final qualifying round as Ghana has missed out in the last three editions of the competition and have also finished as runners up on two occasions.
The return encounter against Benin is scheduled for 1600GMT (4:00pm) on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Stade Charles de Gaulle in the capital.
