Ghana gaffer, Otto Addo says Lawrence Ati-Zigi is a good goalkeeper as he insists that he gets good reviews in Swiss Super League after every game.
Ati-Zigi's performance at the Black Stars hasn't been anything to write home about so far, but he's expected to man the post after Jojo Wollacot and Richard Ofori were ruled out of the World Cup because of injuries.
The St. Gallen shotstopper is tipped to get the nod over Asante Kotoko's Danlad Ibrahim and Manaf Nurudeen of KAS Eupen.
Ghana defeated Switzerland by 2:0 courtesy Mohammed Salisu and Antoine Semenyo's strikes.
Ghana will face Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in the group stage of the mundial.
Ghana landed in Qatar on Friday, 18th November and are scheduled to play their first group game against Portugal on 24th November.
Otto Addo insists that Ati-Zigi is a good coach as he praise the goalkeeper after his display in Ghana's victory over Switzerland.
"We knew before that the keepers we have at this level are inches apart. Its not like somebody is that far away from the other so they are all at the same level. Sometimes it's just little details," he said.
“We knew that Zigi is good and he did today. He plays regularly in Switzerland and gets very, very good remarks after each game. We monitor him so there was no concern at all,” he added.
