Chris Hughton, the head coach of the Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars, has emphasized his determination to achieve positive results for the team.
Currently in Accra with the national squad, Hughton is preparing for a crucial upcoming match against Madagascar.
During a press conference on Tuesday, Coach Chris Hughton emphasized the importance of obtaining favorable outcomes. He stated, "My main focus is on achieving results. That's the most important thing. I continuously assess the squad's level and, drawing from my experience and knowledge of local teams, I strive for improvement and balance."
Hughton also mentioned his collaboration with his assistants in identifying the best players and suitable replacements, ensuring a well-planned strategy for the team.
Regarding the team spirit in camp, Hughton expressed positivity and high morale as the players are determined to secure a victory. He said, "Overall, the team morale is very good. The primary focus is on the upcoming football match, and that is winning."
The match against Madagascar holds significant importance as it is the penultimate game in Group E of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. Scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 18, in Antananarivo, the game presents an opportunity for Ghana to strengthen their position in the group standings and move closer to qualifying for the tournament.
