Black Stars duo Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus earned places in the 2023 CAF Men's team of the Year, announced by the Africa's football governing body on Monday, December 11, 2023.

The two players based in England were the only Ghanaians that made the continental team of the year released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) at it's annual award ceremony in Morocco.

Ghana and three other nations namely Cameroon, Morocco and Senegal were the only countries that had two footballers to be honoured in the CAF team of the Year.

Mohammed Kudus was rewarded for his explosive performance for the senior national team of Ghana when at the 2022 FIFA World Cup where he scored two goals and also his impressive output at Ajax last season.

His sterling performance during last season's campaign across all competitions earned him the transfer to English Premier League side West Ham United.

Partey also had a tremendous season at Arsenal when he was key perform in Mikel Arteta's team that finished second on the English Premier League log last season.

His goal against Nigeria in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final round of qualifiers helped the Black Stars to book its fourth appearance at the mundial held in Qatar last year.
