With the upcoming AFCON U-23 tournament just around the corner, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, captain of the Black Meteors, exudes confidence and determination, emphasizing that their actions on the pitch will speak louder than words as they strive to bring pride to Ghana.
Fully aware of the weight of expectations, Barnieh and his team are ready to showcase their talent, skills, and unwavering commitment to achieving glory for their nation.

Prior to the tournament, the Black Meteors will embark on a pre-tournament training tour in Egypt, where they will face the young Pharaohs in an international friendly on June 15.
They will also have a second friendly match against an undisclosed opponent before heading to Morocco.
The tournament itself will take place in Morocco, commencing on June 24 and concluding on July 7, 2023.
