The Ghanaian men's national team, the Black Stars, have gathered at their training camp on Monday morning to begin their preparations for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) round five qualifier against Madagascar.
The players arrived individually in their finest attire, arriving in luxurious cars to join their teammates for the first training session scheduled for Monday evening.
The training session was set to commence at 4 pm at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Out of the 25 players selected by head coach Chris Hughton for this crucial match that could secure Ghana's spot in next year's tournament, 24 players have already reported to the camp.
The only player yet to join the team is Thomas Teye Partey, the Arsenal midfielder and deputy captain of the Black Stars.
In the upcoming sessions, the remaining 24 players will undergo fundamental drills under the guidance of Hughton as they intensify their preparations.
The Black Stars will travel to Madagascar for their penultimate qualifier game on June 18, and a draw will be enough to secure their place in the AFCON tournament held in Ivory Coast next year.
