Benab FC have set up what will be an epic and a thrilling final against Ebony FC in the ongoing 2024/25 Ashanti Regional Division 2 Middle League tournament at the Baba Yara Stadium
Eight teams comprising seven zonal champions from the regular season started off the competition but we're now down to the final two with the ultimate winners to be decided in couple of days time.
Ebony FC finished as winners of Group A with seven points after an unbeaten run in the group phase. They won 1-0 over Pro-Sports Academy in their first game and came from behind to salvage a draw against Sasaamo Panin FC before sealing the final spot with a slim and vital 1-0 win over MidCity FC earlier this morning
On the other hand, Benab FC have by far been the better side in the competition so far having scored the most goals and are also yet to concede and are in the final for the first time in their history after five attempts
The 'Everything by God' lads won 1-0 in their tournament opener against fellow Zone 7 rivals Jonnboe SC, annihilated Acceler8z FC by 5-0 next, before wrapping up with a commanding 4-0 triumph over Adom FC to top Group B with solid nine points
Winner of the final will secure promotion to Zone 2 of the Access Bank Division One League next season
The final is slated for Friday, May 9, at 15:00GMT (3:00pm) at the same venue
