Black Galaxies coach, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has lamented on how wasteful they were against Nigeria over the weekend and is looking forward to working on it before the return leg.
The two-time finalists got held by sworn rivals Nigeria to a goalless draw in the first leg of the playoff round of the 2024 CHAN qualifiers last Sunday at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.
The game was really an open one at a certain point but with Super Eagles B being very physical and showed resilience to salvage what looks a favourable results heading into the return encounter.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Didi - the experienced trainer admitted they couldn't make good use of the numerous chances they had but is hoping to patch up all cracks before they head to Nigeria for the second leg.
“We created opportunities but lacked the final touch. We’ll address that and go to Nigeria with a plan to win,” he said.
The Black Galaxies will face Nigeria in the other leg this Saturday, December 28, with the winner of the tie booking a spot at the next Africa Nations Championship which will be held in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
