After being held to a pulsating draw game against their west African sworn-rivals over the weekend, the experienced tactician still remains defiant over a positive results in the return leg tie
Black Galaxies Head coach Didi Dramani has said the second leg fixture of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against the Nigeria Super Eagles B side still remains an open game ahead of the clash in Uyo State on Saturday December 28.
The former Black Stars assistant manager and his charges shared the spoils with the Super Eagles B team in a goalless stalemate at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Given this outcome over the first leg tie, Didi Dramani remains upbeat the return fixture remains an open game for both teams come on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Nigeria.
''From what we all saw, they [Nigeria] try to sit back and then go on the transition and when you play against a team like that, it is even more dangerous because you continuously move forward and then there will be space behind,” the former Asante Kotoko gaffer told AFA Sports.
“We were also cautious not to concede because it's important that when the game is barren, it is still an open game.''
"We are very positive that from our display, we are good on the ball, we are good in taking spaces, they are good in making the transitions. We [should] try to avoid this [Nigeria transitions] and then take the right moments.''
The winner of the two-legged affairs will secure a place in the 2024 African Nations Championships (CHAN) finals to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania next year.
