Hasaacas Ladies have been crowned champions of the 2025/26 Women’s FA Cup after defeating Army Ladies 5-3 on penalties in a thrilling final at Kukurantumi Ohene Park.
The fiercely contested encounter ended 1-1 after extra time, forcing a dramatic shootout in which Hasaacas Ladies held their nerve to secure the trophy.
Hasaacas Ladies took the lead in the 87th minute when Linda Epo finished calmly to put her side ahead.
But Army Ladies responded almost immediately. Just two minutes later, Esther Asamoah Yiadom struck an equalizer to ensure the contest remained finely balanced.
Both teams created chances in regulation and extra time but could not find a decisive goal, sending the final to penalties.
During the shootout, Hasaacas Ladies showed greater composure, converting all five of their penalties. Army Ladies managed three, handing the Sekondi-based side a 5-3 win and the 2025/26 Women’s FA Cup trophy.
The triumph marks another major achievement for Hasaacas Ladies, further cementing their status as one of the dominant forces in Ghana women’s football.
