The 22-year-old lateral defender of Ghanaian descent and Die Borussen are going their separate ways after being together for four seasons in the German football competitions
Borussia Dortmund have released Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster Prince Aning ahead of the forthcoming summer transfer window.
The promising left-back, who linked up with the Signal Iduna Park campaigners from Dutch giants Ajax in the summer of 2022, failed to establish himself as a first-team player at the Bundesliga giants since he was snapped up for the BVB U23 as then a promising teenage sensation.
Per KICKER, Prince Aning (22), Leroy Kwadwo, (29), Patrick Göbel (32), Jonas Feddersen (19), Nick Cherny (18) and Babis Drakas (23) are the players from the BVB U23 team to leave this summer.

Given his youthful age, Aning would not be short of offers from potential suitors ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
He featured in 3 games for Borussia Dortmund ll side in the just concluded 2025/26 football season.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Amsterdam-born native defender still remains fit to switch nationality and play for the Ghana national football team at the senior level despite playing for the Netherlands U16, U18, U19 & U20 national youth teams.
